The primary goal of this collaboration is to strengthen and expand the rights of Mexican workers, recognizing their welfare as crucial for the country’s advancement.

Sheinbaum, acknowledging the positive momentum in Mexico, stressed the importance of moving forward and persisting in efforts to amplify labor rights. She declared, “We share a fundamental goal: preventing a return to the past of corruption and privileges and advancing with the Fourth Transformation of Mexico’s public life.” The establishment of over 10,000 Labor Committees in Defense of the Fourth Transformation within CATEM represents a tangible step toward achieving this objective.

Sheinbaum’s commitment to workers includes safeguarding their salaries and employment benefits, aligning with the vision of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who prioritizes the well-being of the most vulnerable for Mexico’s prosperity.

Pedro Haces Barba, Senator of the Republic and Secretary-General of CATEM, highlighted accomplishments resulting from collaboration between the government and representatives of the working class, such as the increase in the minimum wage and improvements in working conditions. He emphasized that this progress must continue under the principles of the 4T, with Sheinbaum at the helm.
